The outstanding Multi-Functional Family Center at Incheon International was named Airport Family-Friendly F&B Concept of the Year. A proud Sung-Bin Im, Incheon International Airport Corporation Director, accepts the FAB Award from The Moodie Davitt Report President Dermot Davitt.

This was a new FAB award designed to recognise the importance of catering to families, providing spaces to relax, refresh, play and consume quality but value-orientated food & beverage.
The ultimate winner, Incheon International Airport’s outstanding Multi-Functional Family Center, is housed in a pleasant two-floor space where the holiday for the entire family begins, featuring entertainment, family-friendly menus and services. Exploration is the name of the game here. Beyond the excellent food & beverage concessions are a digital gym, VR zone, book café and games and characters. And the space keeps evolving so there is plenty more to come.
What a night it was for Auckland Airport’s Glamp Grounds Bar & Kitchens, which picked up a Highly Commended award. It appeals to all generations and helps families feel like they are already on holiday, thanks to a vibrant, casual and playful atmosphere.
Our regional winners offer an eclectic mix of family-friendly concepts too. Day after day, TRG Concessions’ Giraffe World Kitchen at London Heathrow Airport is one of the airport world’s best-performing casual dining restaurants, favoured by young and old alike. No wonder the restaurant is regularly packed out. Not an award the judges had to stick their neck out to make.
Dallas Fort Worth International Airport’s Food Hall double offering of Chick-fil-A and Subway scored a much-deserved regional award for the Americas. Both are hugely popular fast-food brands in the US (and in Subway’s case globally) and deliver outstanding service and excellent value in bright, smart environments. Airport management were particularly praiseworthy of the brands’ performances, stand-outs in a very strong F&B line-up.
As for HWH Investments’ brilliant Nutella@DXB concept at the Dubai gateway, this is not just family friendly but family fun. An Instagrammable experience of the highest (literally when you see the giant Nutella jar) order. Spread the word.
