Co-Organisers’ welcome
It is an absolute pleasure to be back in Singapore to finally bring back the Trinity Forum, the world’s leading airport commercial revenues conference. This will be my first Trinity Forum, but the feedback I received in the past brings me certainty that this will be an excellent meeting.
We are pleased to collaborate with The Moodie Davitt Report and ACI Asia-Pacific to realise this event. I would also like to extend my warm thanks to our host, Changi Airport Group, as well as our generous sponsors for their kind support.
The pandemic has impacted virtually all aspects of our lives—a dynamic economic environment, acceleration of digital transformation, shifting passenger needs, and new expectations are rapidly changing the competitive landscape.

The Trinity Forum allows us to get together to discuss challenges and opportunities facing our industry, with the main aim being to help airports to develop existing and new commercial revenue streams that are in line with evolving passenger needs and to gain a competitive advantage.
As we know, airports are multifaceted businesses, engaging in commercial relationships with airlines, passengers, and other firms. One of the factors determining the future of the airport industry is the diversification of revenues, including the vitality of the commercial side of the business.
With the rapid digitisation of the retail business, the challenge and opportunity for airports and airport retailers worldwide, is to safeguard and develop the commercial side of airports by evolving in step with customer expectations.
To give customers what they want, we have to listen to them closely and understand their changing needs. For the airport industry, a deeper understanding of the behaviours and needs of the passenger is vital to achieving higher levels of customer service, developing new efficiencies in airport operations, and increasing non-aeronautical revenue.
The future poses challenges but also generates opportunities. Gatherings such as The Trinity Forum will help all of us to confront those challenges and seize those opportunities. I wish you a fantastic conference!
