The Moodie Davitt Report last year launched a column, ‘Better moments make the world smile’ in association with Mars Wrigley International Travel Retail. In this regular feature we cast the spotlight on memorable human moments from around the world of travel, aviation and travel retail.

In this edition we feature a wonderfully warm video and images from Singapore Changi Airport that capture the excitement of flying again after a break of two years for many passengers. Departing travellers express their emotions about embarking on a journey once more, and about embracing the airport experience.

“This is the first time we have travelled in almost two years and we are so excited to see our family again,” says one. “I’m really excited to see my family,” says another. “It would not be possible if we didn’t have all the front liners and all the staff working hard say and night.”

“It has been a difficult two years for everyone in the tourism industry. Thank you guys for making it possible for us travel again,” adds another. The video also highlights the critical role of frontline staff in ensuring a positive experience for travellers.

In a social media post Changi Airport Group says: “We are heartened by the kind words from passengers all around the world flying through #ChangiAirport. Truly, your support is what keeps the airport community going.”
