An evening to remember: The Gala Dinner

With the formal proceedings over, The Trinity Forum drew to a close with one of the most memorable (and different) Gala Dinners in the event's history.

Shanghai Airport Authority, led by President Xin Feng, was the host (kindly supported by SSP and Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail) as guests were taken onboard a cruise vessel for a thrilling ride along the majestic Huangpu River, offering spellbinding views of this amazing city by night.

The sights of a memorable Trinity Forum 2018-style, already integrated as delegates arrived riverside for the Gala Dinner.

Shanghai Airport Authority President Xin Feng welcomed guests to the Gala Dinner and reminded them of the power and potential of the Chinese travel retail business. By now, no-one doubted it.

Chris Rayner, CEO of airport food & beverage provider SSP (which supported Shanghai Airport Authority in hosting the Gala Dinner) added his words of welcome and his thanks to the authority.

All aboard for the second time at the 2018 Trinity Forum. This time, though, it wasn't a bus but a river cruise.

Amazing panoramic views from the Huangpu River which flows through Shanghai and is the last significant tributary of the mighty Yangtze before it reaches the East China Sea.

Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail provided a range of their best spirits and wines to accompany the fine cuisine and keep the party going.

Unmasked. Several times in fact. Face Changing or Bian Lian (变脸;) is an ancient Chinese opera show tradition and, as these photos show, it wowed Gala Dinner guests.
