Imperial Duty Free has placed its faith in the future of the domestic air travel market in Russia, which although large, lags way behind other major internal markets such as the USA or China in size. The ambition of Aeroflot’s fleet investment is matched at Sheremetyevo by a premium retail offer in more than 2,000sq m of space. There is no liquor or tobacco, so it’s driven by P&C, fashion and accessories. Price matters here of course, and Imperial Duty Free offers good discounts of around -15% even in duty paid.
