FIGHTING THE CONFIDENCE GAP
Power Talks
One in two women say they are less confident than men. This startling statistic is called the ‘Confidence Gap’ and is one of the underlying reasons for the perpetuation of the unconscious bias and wider gender equality issues today.

To fight against the Confidence Gap, Kérastase has partnered with non-profit organisations to launch the Power Talks mentoring programme. The aim? To help young women grow more confident and take ownership of their careers and lives.
The programme, made for women by women, initially launched in the US in January 2023 and will expand to more than ten countries this year. The goal is to help more than 15,000 young women through mentorship and focused support networks globally by 2025.
The Power Talks programme is centred around three pillars: Mentoring, Inspiring and Training. Through mentorship, the programme helps young women grow their confidence so they can define and achieve success in their own terms.
Inspiring is all about supporting women in their journey towards self-confidence through impactful confidence-building events and content featuring inspiring female figures across various industries.
Training is about teaching Kérastase employees to fight against unconscious bias and build self confidence both in and out of the workplace.
“Our mission goes beyond hair care and it felt natural to work on fighting the confidence gap, to keep on expanding a woman’s potential”
