A signature statement from Samsonite

Qatar Duty Free (QDF) has partnered with Samsonite to launch the travel luggage and accessories brand’s first duty free store in the Middle East. The store offers the latest range of Samsonite Sustainable Products as well as allowing passengers to personalise their Samsonite purchases with embossed initials. QDF noted in a statement: “The Samsonite store will be the ultimate destination for travellers looking for a unique brand experience while transiting or departing from the award-winning Hamad International Airport (HIA).” Qatar Duty Free Vice President Thabet Musleh said: “We are delighted to partner with Samsonite to open this first ever duty free boutique of Samsonite in the Middle East at our home and hub, HIA. At QDF, we are constantly searching for the very best products and services to offer our customers to enhance their travel experience. Qatar Duty Free is constantly expanding its offerings by partnering with a range of luxury brands to provide innovative and memorable experiences for our customers, giving them an experience worth travelling for.”

This is the first time we have launched a boutique in partnership with a duty free retailer in the Middle East, and we are delighted to be showcasing our best collection of sustainable as well latest regular products at Qatar Duty Free.” Comment: The opening of a Samsonite boutique represents another retail first for Qatar Duty Free as it gears up for this year’s big terminal expansion and Qatar’s hosting of the FIFA World Cup in November and December. After many signature opening across retail and dining in 2021, more will follow soon amid a huge year for the Qatar Airways Group. The expansion in Q3 promises to be a major highlight, integrating art collections and lush greenery with new retail and F&B concepts plus other leisure attractions and facilities under one roof.
