Launched in July 2020, Aer Rianta International-owned The Loop Duty-Free at Montréal-Trudeau International Airport launched its new website (www.theloopdutyfree.ca) allowing passengers to pre-order products online before travelling. The primary objective of the site is to engage passengers digitally before travel and deliver a window to the store, highlighting newness, exclusives and offers. The new website offers “a user-friendly and intuitive experience” according to the retailer, with a strong showcase for brand partners and easy navigation and functionality. The platform also allows customers to browse the range of products available in-store and purchase them online through a ‘Click & Collect’ service up to 90 days before they fly.

The website, which presents over 4,000 products to visitors, is available in French, English or Chinese. Features include:

• Product filtering
• Customer wish lists
• Rich media
• Multi-lingual capabilities
• Improved integration with stock management system for near real time catalogue, inventory, pricing, promotions and ordering.

The website also houses engaging content across all categories and brands, highlighting hero marketing campaigns, key offers and products and brands that are exclusive to the retailer. ARI hailed the “extremely positive feedback” from brands on the new site, saying that for many “we have become their digital partner of choice”.
