We present our choice of recent eye-catching launches, campaigns and events from across the world of travel retail. We begin with DFS Masters of Wines and Spirits, which took place in Macau last weekend.
DFS Group, in partnership with City of Dreams Macau, presented its tenth annual Masters of Wines and Spirits exhibition at T Galleria by DFS, Macau, City of Dreams on 18 March. The exhibition featured an exclusive collection of more than 100 rare and fine wines, spirits and Champagnes from 65 brands and houses. The leading luxury travel retailer also hosted an experiential tasting gala event to mark the tenth anniversary of the Masters series in the wines & spirits category. The event began with an intimate welcome dinner, hosted by DFS and City of Dreams Macau, which took place at the French Bistro L’Attitude. Head Chef Safa Rodas curated a bespoke menu using seasonal produce tailored for the event. Following a red carpet arrival, over 250 guests explored two floors spanning six zones, each featuring a category: Champagne, Single Malt Whisky, Armagnac/Cognac, Whiskies of the World, New World Wine and Old World Wine. Guests were able to view and taste products curated by DFS. Surprise roving performances on the staircase invited guests to explore the upper floor for further experiences and showcases. For viewers seeking to understand more product details, or the origin, narrative or uniqueness of each lot, QR codes were placed throughout the exhibition, allowing customers to immerse themselves in the collection.

Throughout the weekend, guests were invited to dive deeper into the worlds of the participating brands by taking part in a series of Masterclasses. Celebrated brands from across the product categories such as The Macallan, Hennessy, Veuve Clicquot and more put on a variety of sensorial and experiential events, hosted either in person or virtually by Master distillers, blenders, wine makers and ambassadors. The Masters of Wines and Spirits pop-up, which is open to the public and housed exclusively at City of Dreams Macau, offers shoppers and browsers the opportunity to delve into details about the masterpieces curated for the Masters series with detailed anecdotes and facts. In addition, The Masters Bar will be open throughout the months of March and April, bringing exclusive tastings, activations and guest bartenders exclusively to City of Dreams Macau. Comment: Hosting the tenth edition of Masters of Wines and Spirits in Macau allowed DFS Group to present its curated collection to its Chinese VIP consumer base, with brand partners once again delivering a range of limited editions and exclusives that one will not find under a single roof anywhere else in the world. The ability to preview and purchase at T Galleria by DFS, Macau, City of Dreams across a three-month period, alongside a rolling series of special activations and product displays, enhances the attraction of one of the signature events in the prestige wines & spirits calendar in travel retail.
