Safilo reveals travel retail exclusive colourway from David Beckham Eyewear

In a big statement of faith in the travel retail channel from a leading style icon, David Beckham Eyewear’s Spring/Summer 2021 collection features a travel retail-exclusive sunglass colourway through partner Safilo. The eyewear line offers a wide variety of sunglasses and optical frames and combines a distinctive ‘British’ style with a focus on detail and functionality, said Safilo. The travel retail-exclusive expression features a classic aviator shape in a softly-rounded full-rimmed square profile. It is made with stainless steel and also features a double nose bridge. The frame’s minimal metal construction is further enhanced by acetate end tips and the DB monogram logo. David Beckham Eyewear’s latest range was inspired by Miami and was curated by the footballing celebrity himself. Beckham, one of the most famous footballers of recent times, is among the owners of the Inter Miami football franchise. Beckham said: “Miami is such a special place to me, the energy of the city is amazing and this new collection of Eyewear is inspired by that – the beautiful light, vibrant culture and diversity of its people. Miami has a unique spirit and that’s what we wanted to reflect in the Spring Summer 21 collection.”
