“Welcome to the future class of cruising and the next generation of cruise retailing, sailing next Winter from Dubai.” That’s how MSC Cruises Head of Retail Adrian Pittaway introduces the spectacular new MSC World Europa, the company’s newest cruiseship, saying “she is going to be unlike anything you have ever seen before”. At 333m long, 22 decks high and with 40,000sq m of public space, MSC World Europa is the longest ship in the fleet. But she is much more than that too. The new vessel represents a “new era” in ship design, says the company.

The first LNG-powered vessel in MSC Cruises’ fleet and the most environmentally advanced to date, this ship will promise to redefine the cruise experience onboard, the company says. The images and film on this page portrays the Y-shaped aft, opening onto an impressive 104-metre long promenade that offers breathtaking sea views. It also shows The Spiral – a striking architectural centrepiece in the form of a dry slide spanning 11 decks – the longest at sea.

“Walk through the distinct districts onboard, each with their own mood and experience, offering something different for every type of guest,” says MSC Cruises. “Enjoy the next-level dining, based around seasonality and carefully curated immersive experiences with a strong focus on artisanal and craft products. Choose from a wide range of accommodation options to satisfy every taste, with a staggering 19 different categories and 65% of cabins offering sea views.”

Importantly, the ship will introduce a “reinvention” of the retail offer and experience, says Pittaway, with the company’s first department store at sea, its first outdoor brand boutiques and a new design for its logo stores with sustainability a key feature. “A really exciting future awaits,” he adds. She will come into service on December 2022 and will spend her inaugural season in the Gulf, starting with a four-night sailing from Doha to her new homeport of Dubai.

MSC World Europa will feature next-level dining experiences

MSC Cruises’ Executive Chairman Pierfrancesco Vago says: “Quite unlike anything else at sea today, MSC World Europa and the entire MSC World Class redefines the cruise experience in so many ways: from the future-proof on board technologies that this completely new platform introduces for the first time all the way to its ground-breaking marine and interior design features. Put it simply, MSC World Europa marks the beginning of a new era for cruising.”
