“Meant to be kissed”

Stoli Global Brand Ambassador Simone Bodini took guests on a fascinating virtual Se Busca mezcal journey, sharing his knowledge of the brand and his enthusiasm to share its history, the families behind its production and the Se Busca taste.

‘Designed to fly’

“This event was almost a decade in the making, and we want to show you why our brand is a good fit for the travel retail industry.” So said Anatomie Co-Founders Shawn and Kate Boyer as the luxury travel leisurewear brand hosted an intimate virtual trunk show at the Engagement Lounge.

Anatomie works with easy-care, breathable performance and stretch fabrics that are travel-friendly, wrinkle-resistant and eliminate the need for dry-cleaning and ironing. At the Summit, it showcased its versatile Travel Essentials range and Packing Cube capsules.

Optimising sales & promotions

Spark Group Founder Heidi Van Roon presented her considerations for mid-pandemic sales and promotion planning, with emphasis on the power of the personal touch. “We are entering an era where the sales function if going to be more important than ever,” she said. “Yes, there is digital and yes, consumer behaviour has heavily moved to online sales but in the beauty, confectionery and liquor categories we certainly do not see our customers going to a vending machine for their products.” Van Roon also introduced Spark’s Brand Partner Program, which she said could be a “game changer” for all industry stakeholders.

Club Americas Social

Leading brand representative Duty Free Global (DFG) brought together travel retail industry friends and colleagues to enjoy a memorable social catch-up on 8 April, hosted by Founder Barry Geoghegan. With the show drawing to a conclusion a day later, it offered guests a chance to meet (virtually) and enjoy a drink (and a late night for some).
