Green Man Woodland Gin

Silent Pool Distillers’ Green Man Woodland Gin is the first spirit to be released in a 100% recyclable cardboard bottle. Green Man Woodland Gin’s cardboard bottle is made from 94% chemical-free recycled paper, uses -77% less plastic and is five times lighter than a glass bottle. It also has -84% carbon footprint compared to a traditional glass bottle and a third less carbon footprint than a bottle made from 100% recycled plastic. This innovative, lightweight bottle is just 83g, making it easier to transport and it can easily be recycled again. Silent Pool Distillers has partnered with Tree Nation to plant a tree for every bottle of Green Man Woodland Gin sold. The bottle represents a positive movement in new packaging and seeks to inspire other producers to take innovative steps to become more sustainable. Silent Pool Gin is based in a former farm on the banks of Silent Pool, Surrey Hills, England. The company produces hand-crafted, full-bodied and fresh gin featuring 24 botanicals and a “symphony of flavours.” The distillery was founded in 2014 by Ian McCulloch and James Shelbourne, who met in their local pub and set out to open a sustainable local distillery in Surrey Hills.
