The newest addition to the Luna Rossa line, Prada Luna Rossa Ocean is a powerful leathery fougère fragrance filled with fresh contrasts.
Prada Luna Rossa Ocean was created by IFF Master Perfumers Anne Flipo and Carlos Benaïm, crafting the scent from opposite sides of the Atlantic Ocean, 6,000 kilometres apart in New York City and Paris. Prada Luna Rossa Ocean takes inspiration from the convergence of man and technology and how the latter can open new horizons for human discovery.
A New Scent Perspective
The scent uses a distillation process that allows only the finest molecules to be included in the liquid. The ingredients are individually recomposed and purified for a 100% made-to-measure olfactory profile.
Prada Luna Rossa Ocean reconfigures the fougère fragrance family, contrasting aromatic freshness, aquatic scents and leathery sensuality.
It opens with Bergamot, Pink Pepper and Armoise top notes, followed by Iris, Lavender and Saffron Accord heart notes, with sustainably-sourced Vetiver, Musk and Patchouli as its base.
Thanks to the molecular distillation process, the Vetiver in Prada Luna Rossa Ocean offers a clean, woody olfactive signature minus the earthy tones – which otherwise often cloud the clarity of the note.
A Deep Dive Into The Ocean
Designed as an ode to high performance and high innovation, the fragrance bottle seeks to capture the deep blue hues of the sea.
The flacon was inspired by the sleek, dynamic silhouette of the Prada Luna Rossa yacht that competes in The America’s Cup, the most prestigious sailing competition in the world.
A contemporary navy-tinged square shape, lacquered finish and a black bottle cap are contrasted by Prada’s striking red line, which bears the brand name.
The red line is a symbol of innovation, while the red dot is a symbolic reference to the red moon. The same bold red streak characterises the Prada Luna Rossa vessel.

Ocean is the latest addition to the Prada Luna Rossa line. It joins Prada Luna Rossa, Prada Luna Rossa Carbon, Prada Luna Rossa Sport and Prada Luna Rossa Black.
