SAVE THE BLUE
“When you become beautiful, the Earth becomes beautiful.”
This philosophy underpins SEKKISEI’s SAVE the BLUE initiative, a long-running environmental programme launched in 2009 that reflects the brand’s commitment to sustainability and ocean conservation.
Originally established to support coral reef preservation in Okinawa, SAVE the BLUE since expanded internationally and now operates across nine markets, including China, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
Through the programme, a portion of sales from designated SEKKISEI products is directed towards environmental protection projects in each participating region. These initiatives focus on preserving fragile ecosystems and promoting biodiversity through activities such as coral restoration, mangrove planting and coastal clean-up efforts.
SAVE the BLUE forms part of the KOSÉ Group’s wider sustainability strategy, which seeks to contribute to the beauty and wellbeing of both people and the planet through responsible business practices and environmental stewardship.
By linking product purchases with tangible environmental action, SEKKISEI aims to encourage consumers to participate in protecting natural ecosystems while reinforcing the brand’s belief that beauty and nature are intrinsically connected.
