Avolta extends presence at Sofia Airport with debut F&B outlets

Avolta announced its first food & beverage concessions at Sofia Airport during August, with three concepts set to open across more than 580sq m of space at the gateway to the Bulgarian capital.

The company also struck an agreement that will see it refurbish its Terminal 1 retail stores, adding a hybrid F&B element to its outlets.

Qatar Airways to introduce first US airport lounge at New York JFK

Topping the list this year was a big Qatar Airways story with a notable airport lounge component. It came as part of an announcement that the airline had selected The New Terminal One as its home at New York John F. Kennedy International Airport.

The carrier will move its operations from Terminal 8 to the state-of-the-art terminal in 2026 and unveil a premium, 15,000sq ft Qatar Airways lounge.
