Ontario International Airport brought its ‘So Cal. So Easy.’ energy on TikTok, establishing itself as ‘the airport of choice for Southern California residents’. Its LinkedIn channel is primarily business-focused, highlighting airport updates, statistics, employee milestones and aviation thought-leadership content.

The digital-first strategy highlighted the airport’s key benefits through organic content, highlighting ease of access, reduced traffic and convenient parking. The content resonated with both primary and secondary service areas, using creative messaging to set the Ontario gateway apart from competitors.

The TikTok campaign incorporated trending content, memes and travel inspiration to foster a humanised brand presence, while educating the audience about the airport’s convenience and service.

Ontario International also partnered with Digital 319 to create content that showcases carrier partnerships and real-time updates, ensuring continuity across all platforms. With no paid media budget, the focus was entirely on organic growth, leveraging TikTok’s dynamic format to produce engaging and shareable content.

As a result, Ontario International’s TikTok channel garnered 1.6 million impressions, 61,000 engagements and 1.6 million video views. Passenger counts for fiscal year 2024 increased +11.4% year-over-year, demonstrating the campaign’s effectiveness in driving awareness and conversion.
