SSP UK – The Mezz, Dublin Airport

SSP UK & Ireland elevated airport dining with The Mezz in Dublin Airport Terminal 2, combining a food hall experience with state-of-the-art digital engagement. Central to the concept is a 31-metre screen designed to draw passengers with food videography and dynamic content.

Developed with a £100,000 budget, the initiative sought to raise awareness for SSP’s street food concepts, including local partnerships with Camile Thai and Handsome Burger. The concept is focused on improving customer experience and driving footfall from the departure lounge.

SSP Group Managing Director Ireland Fi Logan-Wyeth remarked: “The Mezz is a first-of-its-kind concept for both SSP UK & Ireland and travel food & beverage, offering a traditional food hall concept combined with innovative technology to create a 21st-century customer experience.”

Following the screen’s launch in August 2023, the video content boosted engagement and sales while streamlining orders through digital kiosks. With over 2.5 million pixels, the display blends motion graphics, real-life food visuals and event tie-ins to maintain relevance.
