Taking guests on a multi-sensorial journey at Changi Airport
Changi Airport Group described the World of Wines & Spirits (WOWS) Signature Event held on 11 and 12 October in partnership with Lotte Duty Free as “a resounding success”.
This year’s WOWS theme, ‘Artistic Alchemy of Wines & Spirits’, celebrated the transformative fusion of art and premium, rare fine liquors.

Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail partnered with China Duty Free Group to open an experiential Maison Martell flagship boutique at cdf Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex in Haitang Bay in October.
The 187sq m boutique blends digital innovation and luxurious interiors. The expanded store builds on the success of the first Maison Martell flagship opened in the same location in 2021.
Designed to appeal to high-net-worth individuals and Cognac collectors, the outlet features an enhanced sensorial exploration zone, tasting bar, lounge, striking ‘Angel’s Share’ art installation and invitation-only VIP salon.

Momentous memories of The Trinity Forum in vibrant Vietnam

King Power Group expands Bangkok presence with latest downtown duty-free concept
King Power Group has been celebrating a successful start-up for King Power City Boutique, the retailer’s latest downtown duty-free concept, sited at the One Bangkok lifestyle hub.
The 5,248sq m store is located on the first and second floors of One Bangkok’s Parade Zone on Rama IV Road. It is described by the company as a concept that elevates the duty-free shopping experience beyond the traditional.

‘Thriller’ flash mob brings Halloween to Rio de Janeiro Airport
To mark Halloween (31 October), travellers at Rio de Janeiro Airport had a spine-tingling surprise, courtesy of travel retailer Avolta.
Shoppers found themselves surrounded by ‘mysterious creatures’ rising from the aisles. These costumed performers – decked out as ghouls, zombies and other eerie creatures – slowly prowled the space. Then, Michael Jackson’s Thriller filled the air and they broke into a choreographed flash mob.

Suntory Global Spirits debuts Bowmore Appellations
Suntory Global Spirits recently launched the travel retail-exclusive Bowmore Appellations Collection, supported by two high-profile activations at Singapore Changi and London Heathrow airports.
Bowmore Appellations sees the Islay distillery blend its distinctive peated whisky with cask finishes from some of the world’s finest wine-producing regions, including Burgundy and Bordeaux to the Douro Valley. The line was the subject of a recent Moodie Davitt Spotlight Series eZine.

Chanel recently unveiled a world-first immersive, 360-degree takeover at Hamad International Airport (HIA) in collaboration with Qatar Duty Free.
The hugely ambitious, three-month event (1 November to 31 January), titled Chanel Winter Tale, brings together festive-themed interactive experiences, a wide array of exclusive and limited-edition products, personalised gifting and souvenirs, and family-friendly activities.

Dior ‘Ball of Dreams’ brings festive magic to Heathrow
Dior Parfums (LVMH Beauty), in a Quaternity partnership with London Heathrow Airport, Avolta and JCDecaux, unveiled the enchanting ‘Ball of Dreams’ animation on 28 November.
The multi-storey Dior Ball of Dreams animation showcases the brand’s triple-axis portfolio of fragrance, makeup and skincare. The immersive retail experience was launched with a dazzling ballet performance that delighted travellers in Terminal 2.
