Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan shared insights into the strategy from Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport, Vietnam’s second-busiest hub. She emphasised the focus on customer experience, which should help drive the proportion of non-aviation revenue at the airport to between 25%-30% in the period from 2026 to 2031. Key shopper demands and strategy pillars include sustainability, purchasing with purpose, ecommerce and digital innovation.
Le Dai Duong presented the SASCO strategy, particularly focused on creating a seamless journey through Vietnam’s airports, with a focus on fresh experiences in the lounge and hospitality business.
Phillip Nguyen delivered an upbeat assessment of the country’s developing travel retail, aviation and tourism sectors, and encouraged the industry community to play a part in supporting Vietnam’s further growth.
