Lunar New Year
Ever Rich Duty Free fires up the traveller experience
Ever Rich Duty Free recently installed a 7m-high ‘Ascending Dragon’ structure at Taoyuan International Airport Terminal 2 to engage travellers and celebrate Lunar New Year.
In addition, from the end of January through the Lunar New Year holiday period, Ever Rich Duty Free is hosting a Chinese calligraphy event. It invited Master Calligrapher Zhu Zhen-nan to write auspicious phrases to mark the Year of the Dragon. Phrases written for Taoyuan Airport Corporation and Ever Rich Duty Free Shop include ‘Dragon Year brings great fortune’ and ‘Dragon soars, taking off’.
According to Taoyuan Airport Corporation, the peak travel period during the Chinese New Year Festival will occur between 8 and 13 February, with daily passenger volumes set to exceed 130,000.

Comment: Ever Rich Duty Free has a long partnership with Taoyuan Airport that goes much further than managing the duty free business, encompassing dining, other services and the wider guest experience. The company has brought that experience wonderfully to bear with the eye-catching dragon structure installed for Lunar New Year 2024 – already proving a highly Instagrammable drawcard for travellers – alongside its elegant showcase for Chinese calligraphy that has attracted strong interest to date.

Both the dragon installation and the calligraphy sessions have drawn strong traveller engagement in the run-up to Chinese New Year
