The Trinity Forum: Gala Dinner

The Gala Dinner at The Rosewood Hotel in Hong Kong was one of the most memorable at any Trinity Forum. As guests sat down for the Hong Kong International Airport-hosted event, they learned a lucky draw would be conducted later in the evening. Little did they know how lucky.

When Airport Authority Hong Kong CEO Fred Lam (below) took to the stage late in the evening, he announced that not one but 50 guests would be lucky winners. Not only that, but the prize would be a return air ticket to/from Hong Kong. He then revealed that all guests would receive the same prize, and that the 50 already drawn out would win two tickets. A brilliant way to simultaneously stimulate Hong Kong’s steadily accelerating tourism recovery and to champion Trinity principles of partnership

Another highlight was an emotional handover from this year’s host Hong Kong International Airport to IPP Travel Retail, which will host The Trinity Forum 2024 on 5-6 November in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

IPP Travel Retail leads the extensive Vietnam duty free, travel retail and airport advertising business in the Imex Pan Pacific Group (IPPG) portfolio.

IPP Group Vice President/IPP Travel Retail CEO Phillip Nguyen joined Airport Authority Hong Kong Head of Retail & Advertising Alby Tsang and Martin Moodie on stage for the handover ceremony.

Nguyen said: “We are truly honoured to stand before you at The Trinity Forum 2023 in Hong Kong, as the future Host of The Trinity Forum 2024. Vietnam, situated at the heart of Southeast Asia, is a rising star in the region and its biggest city – Ho Chi Minh City, the vibrant centre of Vietnam’s economy, trade and logistics.

“Our city thrives on diversity and embraces challenges as opportunities for growth. By bringing The Trinity Forum to Ho Chi Minh City, we aim to provide all delegates with an unforgettable destination experience. Your time here will be more than an event; it will be a journey of discovery and opportunity.”
