A hero cream reimagined: La Prairie revamps Skin Caviar Luxe Cream
In a Caviar Science first, La Prairie combines newly developed Caviar Micro-Nutrients with Caviar Premier and its Exclusive Cellular Complex for the remastered face cream.
Swiss luxury skincare house La Prairie has reimagined its original Skin Caviar ingredient, created in 1987, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the House’s Skin Caviar Luxe Cream.
The Skin Caviar Luxe Cream is a lifting and firming cream that has been fused with newly developed Caviar Micro-Nutrients and Caviar Premier. The revamped Skin Caviar Luxe Cream is designed to support the skin’s metabolism and restore its youthful structure.
Caviar Premier initiates rebuilding activities in the skin while Caviar Micro-Nutrients supply energy to maximise those activities. An exceptional synergy, for phenomenal lift.
The cream is further enhanced with La Prairie’s patented Exclusive Cellular Complex, the House’s best kept secret, which boosts the efficacy of both caviar ingredients.
The cream is available in two distinct textures: Skin Caviar Luxe Cream and Skin Caviar Luxe Cream Sheer. The first is rich and velvety, while the second is a light and airy alterative.
Both the Skin Caviar Luxe Cream and Sheer variants are housed in the brand’s signature cobalt blue jar. The redesigned jar pays homage to the House’s design heritage and works of feminist artist Niki de Saint Phalle. The jar has been reimagined as a lighter vessel using recycled and recyclable glass.
The remastered cream boosts the skin's metabolism and structure
A Caviar Science first
Caviar has been a vital ingredient for La Prairie for over 35 years. For the first time, La Prairie is revealing a new essential asset to caviar’s nourishing power, which is its ability to boost skin metabolism.
The skin’s metabolic activities become less effective and imbalanced with age. Therefore, Skin Caviar Luxe Cream stimulates these metabolic pathways to strengthen the skin’s architecture and reverse the signs of ageing.
Inspired by this phenomenon, La Prairie has created a proprietary biological transformation process to natural caviar. The result of the process is a new complex called Caviar Micro-Nutrients, which is a rich source of over 300 natural nutrients that boost essential metabolic activities in the skin. The development of Caviar Micro-Nutrients marks a significant milestone in La Prairie’s Caviar Science journey, the brand said.
Bringing new depth to the Skin Caviar Ritual
The Skin Caviar Lifting and Firming Ritual begins with Skin Caviar Essence-in-Lotion to hydrate and condition the skin, preparing it for the Skin Caviar Ritual to follow.
The next step is the Skin Caviar Eye Lift and Skin Caviar Luxe Eye Cream, before sculpting and volumising using the Skin Caviar Liquid Lift, La Prairie’s anti-ageing serum.
The ritual concludes with the Skin Caviar Luxe Cream or Skin Caviar Luxe Cream Sheer to firm and nourish.
A new collaboration with award-winning designer Sabine Marcelis
To celebrate the 25th years of the popular Luxe cream, the brand has partnered with award-winning designer Sabine Marcelis who reinterpreted the codes of the cream into an immersive design space.
Marcelis took inspiration from the cobalt blue jar and velvety cream to create a larger-than-life interactive and sensorial design environment. The space expresses Marcelis’ strong aesthetic point of view and her distinctive use of colours and shapes. The project includes a limited-edition capsule skincare object, created by Marcelis, which enriches the cream’s skincare ritual.
Always at the intersection of art and science, La Prairie has once again partnered with Sabine Marcelis for an artistic collaboration celebrating the Skin Caviar Luxe Cream
