A swinging start
The Trinity Golf Forum teed off the day before the official start of this year’s event, bringing together both seasoned players and beginners.
The tournament took place at the magnificent Education City Golf Club and was hosted by Hamad International Airport, Qatar Duty Free and Qatar Airways.
The men’s prize in the 18-hole tournament, in an Individual Stableford format, was won by JTI Worldwide Duty Free General Manager Middle East, Africa, UK & Ireland Philip Haine. Blackjack Promotions Managing Director Jason Miles came second, while Calgary Airport Authority Chief Financial Officer Robert Palmer was third.
Top woman was oOhMedia Fly National Commercial Director Elise Taylor while CabinZero Global Travel Retail Sales Director Denz Van Der List was the winner of the Nearest the Pin contest.
A Learn Golf clinic for non-players taught them the basics of the game and welcomed them into the sport.
During the prize-giving ceremony, there was a special and surprise moment for Birmingham Airport Commercial Director Richard Gill, as Qatar Duty Free and The Moodie Davitt Report marked his 50th birthday. The day concluded with a well-received and well-deserved BBQ.
