Travel retail highlights
Life of luxury
“[This] is a spectacular flagship location for Sheremetyevo Duty Free and underlines our aim to offer customers an outstanding and differentiated shopping experience.”
That’s how Oleg Zhytomyrsky, Director Sales Eastern Europe Central Asia at Gebr Heinemann, describes Sheremetyevo Duty Free’s new ‘luxury marketplace’ at Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport [Sheremetyevo Duty Free is a joint venture between Heinemann, the airport and Greenway].
It follows the opening of a “modern, customer-friendly and digital” 3,000sq m walk-through shop and a 500sq m arrivals shop in the new Terminal C.
The ‘luxury marketplace’ features two multi-brand stores across fashion & accessories and watches & jewellery. Gebr Heinemann Director Purchasing Fashion & Accessories Jan Richter said the development was “one of a kind in Russian travel retail. There are a lot of customers here willing to spend on luxury brands.”
Featured brands include Chloé, Ferragamo, Montblanc, Cartier, Omega, Officine Panerai, IWC, Hublot and Longines. An Alexander McQueen boutique will open later this year in a first for the airport.
